This document is a compendium of stories of change in the impoverished region of melghat in maharashtra’s amravati district. The samaj pragati sahayog (sps), a non-profit, is currently engaged in a multi-pronged approach to bring about a social and economic change in the lives of predominantly tribal households who rely on small farm agriculture and forest-based livelihoods and are driven to migrate long distances post monsoon, in the absence of any meaningful employment.
